This luxurious handmade-to-order throw pillow features the "Chinesche Infanterist” character from a hand-colored Karl Joseph Brodtmann stone lithograph from H.R. Schinz's 1840 Naturgeschichte und Abbidungen des Menschen. Brodtmann was part of the post-Linnaean Age of Enlightenment, hand-colouring sets for biologists and the aristocracy. Brodtmann's work displayed a remarkable sense of aesthetics and scientific accuracy. This posh 100% silk satin pillow is available in two sizes and sports an elegant rope braid trim. Choose from a down feather pad, polyester-fiber filling or just the cover. The silk cover has a discreet zipper and can be removed for dry cleaning.
