This jacket displays patterns and textures from leaves that I scanned and arranged into a nine-pointed star design. The colors of maroon, burgundy, auburn, wine, cinnabar, and flame dominate the scheme. If leaves had the resilience and toughness of leather, we might be able to wear clothing actually made from leaves; this jacket suggests how such clothing might appear. The jacket would be perfect for a stroll through a forest as the leaves are falling to the ground through the cool autumn air.
