Pillow Case with Dark Pink Magnolia Pattern

This dark pink pillow case displays the range of colors on a petal of a Lily Magnolia (Magnolia liliiflora). The exterior of this flower can be a deep coral pink to red color, while the interior side of the petals is a very light pink to white color. The magnolia is one of the very ancient variety of trees, dating back to at least 95 million years ago during the Cretaceous Era. These trees are common in parks and the yards of homes here in central Illinois, and we have some beautiful specimens on the campus where I work. The pattern on this pillow case is especially satisfying with the mix of crosses and squares alternating with eight-pointed stars.
