This men’s shirt has a cool, blue color with a repeating symmetry of crosses and six-pointed patterns on the front and back. I made the patterns from photographs of mussel shells I found weathered and lying about on the beach at Oceanside, Oregon. The interior of mussel shells have mostly a darker blue hue, although they can also have a mother-of-pearl iridescent aspect of greens and blues. On the sleeves of these shirts I have placed a nine-pointed pattern with a wider range of cool mussel shell colors.
