Care instructions
Always test an offcut or sample prior to working the leather with tools, adhesives or heat. To ensure the leather print on your product is as durable as possible, we’ve worked hard refining our printing process and craftsmanship. As leather is a natural material you may notice small differences in surface and texture, as well as wrinkles, which is common to products made from natural leather. All leathers age naturally according to the usage, and this can cause the print to wrinkle or fade slightly over time. It is possible the base colour may show through the leather as it ages with wear. When not in use we recommend storing your product in a protective dust bag or box to keep your product looking its best. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, sunlight, water, and chemical cleaners to maintain a bright and long-lasting print. Avoid contact with light coloured fabrics or upholstery as the colour may transfer. Whilst a light rain shower is unlikely to harm, we recommend protecting from rain. Should your product get wet, allow to dry naturally away from direct heat. To clean surface wipe only with a damp lint free cotton cloth.
The pleated and flat versions of your clutch are quite similar, but the sizes do differ slightly. The removable strap is a stylish combination of smooth black Nappa and metal chain detailing which will match the hardware colour you selected. The strap is adjustable from 114cm to 128cm. The inside of the bag is lined with our faux Sueve Vision in black.
Once you design your own metal frame clutch bag, we note all of your specifications and use them to create your bag. The leather is printed with eco-friendly inks that are bonded to the material so that the design is as durable as the leather itself. The leather is then shaped into the body of the personalised metal frame bag, and the Suede Vision lining is added on the inside. We stitch everything together and attach the metal frame to the top of the bag. Everything is checked over by our quality control team before we send your photo gifts to you.
While you're designing your custom metal frame clutch, there are a few pointers to keep in mind. You'll be able to personalise the front and back of your bag, and both panels will be stitched together at the side. The sides of the bag are folded in to create the clutch shape, so be aware that design elements may be distorted here. To minimise the effect of this, simply keep your photos and most important design elements central on the flat clutch. For the pleated bag, the design will be warped with the pleats. We recommend using patterns or abstract images rather than photos of people or pets. All of this is visible in the design interface, so you'll be able to make sure your personalised metal frame clutch bag looks the way you want.
