Care instructions
To ensure the leather print on your product is as durable as possible, we’ve worked hard refining our printing process and craftsmanship. As leather is a natural material you may notice small differences in surface and texture, as well as wrinkles, which is common to products made from natural leather. All leathers age naturally according to the usage, and this can cause the print to wrinkle or fade slightly over time. It is possible the base colour may show through the leather as it ages with wear. When not in use we recommend storing your product in a protective dust bag or box to keep your product looking its best. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, sunlight, water, and chemical cleaners to maintain a bright and long-lasting print. Avoid contact with light coloured fabrics or upholstery as the colour may transfer. Whilst a light rain shower is unlikely to harm, we recommend protecting from rain. Should your product get wet, allow to dry naturally away from direct heat. To clean surface wipe only with a damp lint free cotton cloth.
The parts of your bag which aren't printed are made from smooth black Nappa leather. This includes the back panel, the panels covered by the flap, D-ring tabs, and the straps. This gives your photos a chance to stand out and be the focus of your personalised foldover crossbody clutch. You can make your choice between two adjustable straps, one of which is removable and made entirely from Nappa, while the other strap is made from Nappa with a metal chain and is fixed to the bag. The removable leather strap is adjustable from 130cm to 139.5cm, while the chain and leather strap is adjustable from 114cm to 128cm.
To create your photo gifts, our print technicians begin by embedding eco-friendly inks into the leather to reproduce your design. The technique we use is incredibly long-lasting, as the print is bonded to the leather. The leather pieces are then cut and shaped and the black Faux Suede lining is added to the inside of the bag. The magnetic poppers are added inside of the flap so that your custom foldover crossbody bag will close securely. Once everything is neatly stitched together and looks beautiful, we package up your bag for delivery.
In our design interface, you'll have two areas to design on your personalised foldover crossbody clutch: the main flap and the middle panel. Because the flap starts at the back of the bag, some of your photo or design will be printed here. We recommend choosing photos that have enough room at the top that will allow your main subject to be front and centre on the bag. As for the middle panel, solid colours or repetitive patterns will look best here since it is a narrow area. All of this is visible in our 3D interface, so you can see how your custom foldover crossbody bag will look from every angle before you finalise it.
