How to wash feather pillows<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  1. First things first. Remove your personalised cushion\/pillow cover and replace it with a laundry bag or plain white cover ensuring that all open ends are sealed in order to prevent a feathery disaster. Put two cushions at a time for wash to keep the load even.<\/li>
  2. Now I am guessing you have a washing machine at home , else you can always go to a launderette. Choose the following settings \u2013 \u2018Delicate<\/strong>\u2019 cycle at 30\u00b0<\/sup>C,<\/strong> rinse twice in order to make sure the detergent is removed thoroughly and spin twice to remove as much water from the feathers as possible.\u00a0It is advisable to add a few towels along with the cushion to keep the machine running smoothly.<\/li>
  3. Once the washing is complete, fluff the cushions before putting it into the dryer.<\/li>
  4. Set the dryer at low\/medium<\/strong> heat \u00a0and place 2\/3 tennis balls in the dryer to make the cushions fluffy and prevent the feathers from clumping as they dry.<\/li>
  5. Stop the dryer every 15 minutes to fluff the cushions.<\/li>
  6. If it’s sunny you can hang it to dry outdoors instead of using a dryer.<\/li>
  7. Alternatively, you can leave it to dry in an airing cupboard or on a sheet next to a radiator.<\/li>
  8. The most important thing is to make sure the feathers are dry before use, as damp feathers can smell like mildew.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
