This is great for creating picture collages and products which will preserve your memories for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Bags of Love, we know how tricky it can be to choose which of your brilliant memories is your favorite. Rather than just picking one, wouldn\u2019t it be nice if you could choose a handful? Well, with our online design tool, you can! See how to make a photo collage using a number of pictures (dependant on the product you have chosen) in a few simple steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Image-3-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-361\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To show you how easy it is to do, we have put together this handy guide! See what you\u2019ll need to do, how many images you can put on which kind of products, and learn how to make a photo collage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Step 1 \u2013 Choose your product<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can select from our huge range of products to make a photo collage. You do need to bear in mind the size of the product and the number of photos you want to put on it. Fewer photos are better for smaller products so that you can see them more clearly. For this example, we will be designing the photo blanket. Once you have chosen your product, simply click \u201cStart Design\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/estore\/design\/2787\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/start-design-button.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-320\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2>Step 2 \u2013 Upload and choose your photos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have selected your product options, either click the \u2018Add Images\/Text\u2019 button on the product preview or select the \u2018Images &amp; Text Tools\u2019 tab. Once the below window is open, click on \u2018Select Images to Upload\u2019. This will allow you to browse your files and select what you want to upload. If you\u2019d prefer, you can also take pictures directly from your Facebook or Instagram too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-picking-photos-1-1024x505.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-332\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have uploaded your images, you need to select the ones that you want to use. If our system picks up any problems with your photo file size, it will show you a warning. When you have selected the photos you would like to use, click on this button:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-make-collage-button-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-333\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2>Step 3a \u2013 How to Make a Photo Collage with Templates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-preset-templates-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-334\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a number of pre-set options that you can use for your photo collage, or you can try our&nbsp;<strong>Smart Collage&nbsp;<\/strong>tool. This new tool generates a collage for you that\u2019s completely customizable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/smart-collage-whole-design.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-364\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You have complete control over your images placement, position, zoom, order, and size. Double click on an image to zoom in, and from there, you can position each photo to your liking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/smart-collage-zoom.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-365\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Try the \u2018mix it up\u2019 button for even more possibilities!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-mix-it-up-button-9.jpg\" alt=\"This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is collage-blog-mix-it-up-button-9.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re more into a pre-set template, we\u2019ve done all the hard work for you. Choose from 5 different pre-set designs and watch your collage come to life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First up, there\u2019s our classic&nbsp;<strong>Plain (No Background)<\/strong>&nbsp;collage:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-plain-collage-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-336\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, we have a our&nbsp;<strong>Photo Frame<\/strong>&nbsp;collage for a bit more color:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-frame-collage-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-335\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This will lay your photos out at a jaunty angle, in a grid. The \u2018no background\u2019 option will have a white background, but you can choose a solid color background as well. The \u2018photo frame\u2019 option will display a slightly unfocused copy of one of your images as the background \u2013 great for making sure the colors match your theme!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next up are our heart collages, perfect to design a gift for the one you love. You can choose from our&nbsp;<strong>Plain Heart (No Background)<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-plain-heart-7.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-338\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Or opt for the&nbsp;<strong>Frame Heart<\/strong>&nbsp;with a blurred photo in the background:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-frame-heart-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-339\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking for photos, photos, and more photos? Our&nbsp;<strong>Scatter<\/strong>&nbsp;option will cover the entire area with your photos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-scatter-collage-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-337\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It sometimes repeats images, and sometimes misses them, depending on how many you choose. This will be explained to you before you add the collage to your product or design. You will receive a warning message, which will tell you exactly how many images are missing\/repeated. It\u2019ll also explain how to remedy this. The scatter photo collage idea is great if you won\u2019t want to have any background at all in your design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/images-repeated.png\" alt=\"Repeat warning\" class=\"wp-image-26155\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re using one of the pre-set photo montage templates to design your own photo collage, and you don\u2019t like the order, you can press the \u2018mix it up\u2019 button to rearrange your photos, just like with the smart collage tool!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-mix-it-up-button-9.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-340\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you are happy with your photo collage, simply click add to design and it will be added to the product that you have selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-add-to-design-button-10.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-341\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2>Step 3b \u2013 How to Make a Photo Montage by Hand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/DIY-montage.png\" alt=\"DIY montage\" class=\"wp-image-26200\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you decide to use the \u2018do it yourself\u2019 option, then you will see a screen that looks similar to this. It will display your photos on a \u201cpile\u201d and you will be able to rearrange them once you add them to your design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-diy-collage-11.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-342\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have added the images to your design you simply click and drag to move your images around. You will be given a list of your images, the ones at the top will sit on the top, so you can rearrange the layers as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-order-layers-12.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-343\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If there is an issue with any of your images, our design tool will show you. It does this by putting an orange exclamation mark on the personalized area that has the problem. If you select that area, you will be given a list of layers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-front-photo-issue-13.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-344\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Our design tool will tell you which image the issue is with. You will get a green tick which says good quality if your image is fine. Or you will have that same orange exclamation mark if there is a low-quality image. From here you can try resizing, changing or removing the image until the system tells you that it is a good quality image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-good-quality-image-14.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-345\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-low-quality-image-15.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-346\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2>Things to Note<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The more images that you select, the smaller each image will be, whereas fewer images will give you much more clarity and detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/small-photos-collage.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-355\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also save the image to your computer by right-clicking and selecting \u2018Save As\u2019. This will download a .png file to your computer that you can view, and print for free!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/GetPhotokiugkiugk.png.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-366\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2>Step 4 \u2013 Finalize your Order<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have finished your photo collage, all that\u2019s left to do is preview and buy your product. Just confirm the quantity and price, and then click the \u2018preview and buy\u2019 button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bagsoflove.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/collage-blog-preview-and-buy-botton-17.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-348\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you are taken to checkout, you will be shown all sides of your design to check that you are happy with it. Simply proceed to the cart and place your order if you\u2019re happy with it.
